Belay Classes

Children and adults (age 15+) are able to get started climbing by being taught to safely belay by experienced climbers.

Individuals will qualify as "D-Rock" Belay Certified by taking this class because they will:

•  Know how to use our Grigri®  belay device

•   Have knowledge of the harness set-up and the tie-in point

•  Know basic belay commands

This class is a half hour session which is offered Monday - Friday evenings between 6pm and 8pm. Participants are welcome to climb the remainder of the night, after their class (so it is encouraged that you take the class with a partner). Pre-registration is required. The fee is $25.

Kids Climbing Classes

Diamond Rock Climbing Gym is located within the Diamond Gymnastics facility.

Climbing classes and combination Gymnastics / Rock Climbing classes are offered for kids 6-12 years old according to the gymnastics schedule.

Fall:       September to December                        

Winter:   January to March                                   

Spring:   April to June

Classes are 1 hour in length and run the duration of the session (12-15 weeks), meeting the same time each week with an assigned instructor.
